Summary
Poole boasts a strong economy with a diverse mix of companies. Expanding sectors include marine, tourism and leisure, advanced manufacturing and engineering and creative industries.  Exciting times are ahead for Poole. The Full Sail Ahead Regeneration Project, one of the largest urban regeneration initiatives in the South of England, will act as a catalyst for further investment across the town, raising the profile of Poole.

Communications
The town is located next to Bournemouth with easy access to the A31 trunk road.  The town has a railway station with a direct service to London and also a port with commercial and passenger services.

Commercial land
Poole is host to the largest number of industrial estates in the sub-region, including Nuffield Industrial estate, Mannings Heath and the Arena Business Park offering quality industrial and commercial office space. Industrial Estate sites are in high demand and there are a number of developments currently under construction including the Poole Trade Park (off the A3049, Tower Park) Branksome Business centre (Alder Hills gas works site). All of these sites are located within five miles of the town centre and boast excellent road networks.
