The overall direction and success of the Multi-Area Agreement (MAA) is monitored by a Board. This group combines representatives of private and public sector
organisations with elected local authority leaders. They meet quarterly
to discuss matters of strategic interest such as; the state of the
wider economy, government policy and local initiatives. What the Board
expects to consider at its meetings is noted in the relevant meeting
agenda and associated reports. These are posted to the ‘Business’ webpage prior to the meeting. The discussions and decisions of the
Board are recorded during their meeting and these ‘minute notes’ are
also placed on this webpage as soon as possible following the meeting’s
conclusion.
The MAA Programme Group is required to monitor the management and progress of the MAA
programme. This Group meets about eight times a year. Their discussions
and decisions, like the Board’s, are recorded on the ‘Business’ webpage, linked to each meeting
of the Group.
The MAA has several Theme Groups that are responsible for delivery of the goals and objectives that
relate to their specific area of interest and influence. Theme Groups
meet every two to three months and are concerned with reporting on
project progress and actions to achieve agreed target objectives.
Material relating to their discussions is available through links to
the specific theme topic and meeting date. It is placed on the webpage
as it becomes available.
